1) Mount DVD1 with daemon tool o similar virtual device (you can also burn ad use dvd)
2) Install game, insert one of listed serial number
3) When installation done, don't start the game.
4) If you wanna install other game languages such FRA, GER or POL (dialogue) unmount DVD1 and mount DVD2 and install.
5) Install patch 1.01a -> Open folder "Patch & Crack 1.01a" and double-click on "DragonAge1.01a.exe"
6) Install crack from folder "Patch & Crack 1.01a" to game folder overwriting existing file.
7) Now you can play or install DLC content.

7) Open AddIns.xml with Notepad and search for "auth"
8) Change ALL occurrences of 1 to 0.

10) Launch Dragon Age and check the Downloadable Content tab to see that they're installed.

Instead ask, has anybody gotten this to work?

and then you can post your error where people will try to help you. Maybe you should try extracting the dvd's to a folder and try installing. That use to work with most games prolly still does!

First of all, the data for the German audio is corrupt, like mch27 already said.
The english audio seems to work just fine.

Secondly, if someone should wonder about this line:
8) Change ALL occurrences of 1 to 0.

Simply put:
1.Search in the AddIns.xml for the line "RequiresAuthorization" and you will find RequiresAuthorization="1"
2.Set the number to 0 so you won't have to verify the DLC online.

I did everything that was mentioned in the readme.. Installed the patch, then i overwritten the .exe with the crack, installed the DLC's and changed the 'auth's to 0 instead of 1.. But when the launcher is up, and i click play it does absolutely nothing.. :( Any tips??

Works did everything in the instructions in the order it was listed put the DAO crack exe in the folder with exe of the same name used the crack NOT the launcher and worked perfect great upload thanks ill seed.

Uhh I installed and patched the game and everythings fine but when I load the launcher thing and click play it loads for a millisecond and then doesn't do anything. I can click it over and over and nothing happens. Does anyone have a clue what may be wrong? I set a firewall exception and didn't install the dlc.

I have vista 64bit.

-Add: The daorigins.exe says the side-by-side configuration is incorrect.

well there's the reason right there. you're NOT...NOT supposed to use the launcher. your supposed to replace the .exe in "bin_ship" folder and run the game from that crack.

It started working when I updated from the site.

I think this should be written clearly to avoid confusion (not mine word for word. I'm not the best explainer of things):

1) Mount DVD1 with daemon tool o similar virtual device (you can also burn ad use dvd)
2) Install game, insert one of listed serial number
3) When installation done, don't start the game.
4) If you wanna install other game languages such FRA, GER or POL (dialogue) unmount DVD1 and mount DVD2 and install.
5) Install the legit patch through the update button on the DA launcher
5.2) replace daorigins.exe with the one in crack folder.
6) Install crack from folder "Patch & Crack 1.01a" to game folder overwriting existing file.
7) Now you can play or install DLC content.

Is there any way to play the Downloadable Content AFTER you finish the main campaign? The game indicates my journey isn't over and I can stil do the downloadable content.

However, every time I exit the main palace door I get the usual ending, showing the future of Ferelden, credits and then it returns me to the main menu.

I've followed the directions exactly. I even changed RequiredAuthentication to 0. They show up in my Downloadable Content area, but when I go into the game itself, the above never show. While I'm not terribly concerned about the others, the Collector's Edition stuff I'd really love to have, as the +3 to all abilities would help me out ingame.

If you want all these to work then just go to Dragon Age Nexus and download DAModder. Its a mod manager that will install all these for you without the hassle and will also do all the dirty work for you.

Not one has failed for me yet.

When I first installed it it couldn't authenticate disk then I copied the crack in and it worked except now it says "Error initializing PhysX"

hey, i installed and mounted and did all that, but my comp. says "failed to authenticate disk. please insert correct disk and try again"
What did i do wrong?

I am not getting the downloadable content to appear. I have used the DAUpdater and installed them all, and gone to that file and changed all Auth 1s to zeros and saved, but they aren't showing up in my game start screen.
